Happy Anniversry Shannon

I can't believe it has been eight years since my wife and I tied the knot in a traditional "Chicago style" Jewish wedding ceremony under the Chupah at a banquet hall owned by Greeks serving mostly Italian food. I do love America.

Shannon and I have made a wonderful life together that has been enriched by two beautiful sons. She is a wonderful mother and terrific wife, which says a lot for a woman who can't cook and dislikes Chinese food.

So why does our marriage work? The answer is very simple. Love is the main ingredient, but it's not enough for any marriage to last. The key ingredients are we laugh and cry together. I love you Shannon.

Bolton Must Stay
Dems and Chafee say no!

Democrats and an outgoing GOP senator from Rhode Island are salivating at the notion that John Bolton will
not be confirmed as Ambassador to the United Nations. Bolton has a reputation of being hard to work for and always speaking his mind. The latter part has made him a glimmering light within an institution that promotes anti-Semitism, hatred toward America and is more corrupt than the Cook County Democratic Machine. I am of course referring to the United Nations.

Bolton currently serves as Ambassador on an interim basis. The Bush administration was hopeful that he could be confirmed before the Dems take control in January, but Rhode Island Senator Lincoln Chafee (R) will not permit his nomination to get out of committee for a vote and Delaware Senator Joseph Biden (D) has made several remarks stating that submitting Bolton for nomination would be a waste of time.

Bolton has represented the United States in a fashion necessary in a post 9/11 world. He has been a voice for Justice not only for the United States, but has repeatedly
vetoed anti-Israel resolutions that show a one-sided condemnation of Middle East violence. Bolton has been a vocal proponent for ushering in large scale reform within the UN. He has been critical of the corruption that continues to plague the world body and often condemns the organization for passing resolutions it has no intention of enforcing.

Unfortunately, the politics of revenge and power are more important to Chafee and the Democratic leadership than what is best for the United States. On a personal note to my Democratic friends who believe their election day victory is good for Israel, your about to be 0-1.

Congressman Gutierrez Exposed

What do you call purchasing a Townhome for nearly a 100k less than the same units in the complex and 60k less than a smaller unit in the same complex? If you are a friend of recently indicted political fundraiser Antoin "Tony" Rezko, it's called normal business practices. The Chicago Sun-Times has uncovered shady dealings with Rezko from Congressman Luis Gutierrez (D-IL). Gutierrez made the above deal in 2003 purchasing a Townhome for 434K and selling the property this past March for 610K, 40% profit. Gutierrez recently announced that he will not be challenging Mayor Daley in February's election after speculation for years that the representative would run. Obviously a bid for mayor would cause greater investigation into his background and finances. Is Gutierrez hiding something? Only U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald knows the answer or will try to find out as Rezko looks to plea his case. Others who need to be concerned, Governor Blagojevich who has s long history with Rezko and surprisingly the Democratic golden boy, Barack Obama who has already publicly stated he regrets his dealings with the indicted political fundraiser.

Be Afraid...Be Very Afraid
Iran claims nuclear program almost ready

It's impossible to say for certain what the status of the Iranian Nuclear Program and their capabilities for Nuclear Weapons. Regardless of the unknown reality I am reminded of the words of former Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, "the lesson of the Holocaust is that if someone says he wants to annihilate you, believe him.” Back in April I declared it was Open Season on Iran and I stick by that statement and article more than ever.

In a recent address to the United Jewish Communities General Assembly, Netanyahu said, "It's 1938 and Iran is Germany. And Iran is racing to arm itself with atomic bombs." As a father and a Jew, every other issue today is secondary. The truth that the world and too many Jews don't want to face is that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad may deny the Holocaust ever happened, but he is planning his own Holocaust for Israel and their six million Jews.
