Shabbat Shalom 11 Shvat 5768

Obama and his Spiritual Mentor
Faith based hate preached by Rev. Wright

If you ask any of the leading Presidential candidates on both sides of the aisle about the role religion plays in their lives, each one will give you a similar answer to the importance of their faith. Each candidate publicly or privately relies on spiritual guidance from a pastor or a priest. So if religion is an important part of a candidates life isn't it also important that each candidates spiritual guide be a person that reflects each candidates values or at least what a White House hopeful strives to be?

Would you want your President to receive spiritual guidance from a racist or anti-Semite? I would hope not. Even if your faith views homosexuality as a sin, wouldn't you still want your religion to embrace the sinner with love and just hate the sin? If you truly believe in Judeo-Christian values the answer is yes.

Could you support a candidate for any political office, especially the Presidency that
has devout praise for a preacher who in fact was a blatant racist, anti-Semite and homophobe? If your a Barack Obama supporter, that is exactly what your doing.

He is the Reverend Jeremiah Wright Jr. of the Trinity United Church of Chicago. He is the man Barack Obama credits as "shaping his identity as an African-American." He serves as Pastor to the church Obama Joined back in 1988. The White House hopefuls book title, The Audacity of Hope, was from the first sermon he heard preached by Wright. Sadly the spiritual mentor of Mr. Obama is also a man of hate.

"Zionism is racism," Wright has stated in his writings and sermons. He is an adamant supporter, friend and adviser to Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who he recently gave a lifetime achievement award through his publication Trumpet magazine. Wright made headlines in 1984 when he joined Farrakhan on a trip to Libya to show support for Muammar Gaddafi.

Right before Wright granted Farrakhan his magazines greatest honor, the Nation of Islam leader made the following statement this past November. “Do you know some of these satanic Jews have taken over BET [the Black Entertainment Network]?” Farrakhan said. “Everything that we built, they have. The mind of Satan now is running the record industry, movie industry, and television. And they make us look like we’re the murderers; we look like we’re the gangsters, but we’re punk stuff.”

These are the words of a man who Senator Obama's preacher has called, "one of the giants of the African-American religious experience in the 20th and 21st century." and " a catalyst for change, and a religious leader who is sincere about his faith and his purpose.”

It must be clear that Obama has never shown any agreement with Wright and Farrakhan regarding their disdain for Jews, whites and gays. He has made general statements regarding disagreements with Wright when it comes to Farrakhan, but he has also never publicly denounced Wright for comments he has personally made.

"The Israelis have illegally occupied Palestinian territories for over 40 years now,” Wright has said. “Divestment has now hit the table again as a strategy to wake the business community and wake up Americans concerning the injustice and the racism under which the Palestinians have lived because of Zionism.” Obama silent. Wright has also referred to Zionism has an element of "white racism," according to the very pro-Obama New York Times.

Abraham Foxman, the national director of the Anti-Defamation League, recently told Jewish Week magazine, if Obama is unable to influence Wright to alter his stands, "I think he has an obligation to leave."

Your brilliant blogger agrees with Foxman. If Mitt Romney, John McCain, Rudy Giuliani or dare I say Hillary Clinton received spiritual guidance from a hate-monger, the media would never let it go. With the exceptions of a few articles here and there, the mainstream press has once again given Obama a pass.

By no means am I insinuating that Obama has a hate-filled bone in his body. However, the key to a good Presidency is the advice you receive and use from those you trust. If Obama equates trust with a man such as Wright, all I see is the second coming of Jimmy Carter. Obama needs to end his association with Rev. Wright.

The Feminists and the Jews
Uncle Abe exposes leftist/feminist anti-Semitism

I have always said that many groups, organizations or causes have good intentions when they are created, but too often become political combatants for the left or the right. Today we see that within the Gay Rights, Reform Judaism, Civil Rights and Feminist movements. All of them are pawns for the Democratic Party or the extreme far-left.

In a recent article published in American Thinker, emeritus professor of political science, University of Cincinnati, Abraham H. Miller (Uncle Abe), has a brilliant piece regarding the leftist rag, MS. Magazine, recent refusal to publish photos of three powerful middle eastern woman.

The advertisement from the American Jewish Congress, depicts successful and power woman within Israel and the government. Unfortunately, the political-left does not want Israel portrayed in a fair or positive light. The very idea that women in Israel can be equal to men and are not limited due to their gender goes against what the modern feminist movements desires. That's right. Feminists don't want you to see equality within the Jewish State.

Today the Feminist movement has remained silent over the horrible treatment of woman in the Arab/Muslim world. The idea that Israeli woman are free and Arab woman are property does not favor a left wing agenda. Today's feminist isn't interested in equality for woman. They are a political shill for a leftist movement, not a cause for equality.

Check out Prof. Miller's article.

Expect a strong win for McCain and a surprise showing for Thompson in South Carolina on Saturday.
