North Korea Ends Nuke Program
Pat Robertson Supports Gay Marriage

When I saw this headline I recalled that horrific vision of former Secretary of State Madeline Albright drinking champagne with North Korean Dictator Kim Jong-Il, celebrating an agreement reached by the Clinton administration with the Korean Madman, to halt their nuclear program back in 2000. After billions in aid and the continuous starvation of their people, North Korea never abided by the agreement and continued developing their nuclear program.

This time around the Chinese and South Koreans took the lead and reached another agreement. Filled with monetary and energy compensation, North Korea has agreed to shut down its main nuclear reactor and dismantle its atomic weapons program.

Anyone who believes Kim Jong-Il plans to stop his goal of obtaining nuclear weapons should send me an email, I have a professional football team in Santa Claus, Indiana to sell you. This guy exposed the incompetence of the Clinton administration and continues to do the same with the rest of the world.

The six-nations involved in the agreement are applauding the deal as a major accomplishment. President Bush said, "he is pleased with the agreements," but criticism is already being heard. I am very disturbed by this deal," former UN Ambassador John Bolton said in a TV interview. "It sends exactly the wrong signal to would-be proliferators around the world: 'If we hold out long enough, wear down the State Department negotiators, eventually you get rewarded,' in this case with massive shipments of heavy fuel oil for doing only partially what needs to be done."

As I write this, the North Korean government has released a statement stating that they only have to "temporarily" halt their nuclear program. When the smoke clears, we will have sent this schmuck millions, if not billions in aid. His starving citizens won't get an extra grain of rice and he will continue to defy the world. History does repeat itself.

Just Too Funny

I recall a few years back, Al Gore gave a speech on Global Warming in Boston during the coldest day in Bean town's history. Tomorrow the House Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality was supposed to have a hearing, but have had to cancel due to the current ice/cold condition in Washington. The hearing is entitled “Climate Change: Are Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Human Activities Contributing to a Warming of the Planet,” will be rescheduled when it ain't so normal outside for mid-February.
