However, the mere fact he met with Nasrallah and believes Hezbollah should not disarm makes him part of the problem not part of the solution.

You can make every argument you want that Hezbollah and Hamas are morally equivical to Israel. Just remember this mere fact. If Israel had weapons and Hezbollah/Hamas did not, there would be no killing. If Israel had no weapons but they did, you would have another Holocaust...end of argument.Paul Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04742538228596385041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14914476.post-1158634046423579452006-09-18T21:47:00.000-05:002006-09-18T21:47:00.000-05:00You are apparently in the category of people who c...You are apparently in the category of people who complain about Chomsky without reading the man. Feel free to pick up a book sometime and actually read it instead of listening to second-hand interpretations. Try to understand what is being said without resorting to canned talking points and faked shock at objective analysis. One thing you can be sure of is that Chomsky condemns violence. He might explain why people are violent of course, and you might not believe or like the explanation because it points a finger where you don't like it being pointed. The fundamental problem is that some people think it's okay when they are the ones doing the killing, but not the other way around. That's an issue of universality of course: If it's okay for you to kill under explanation X, then why is it not okay for someone else to do the same thing, using the same explanation X? And whenever you have to resort to something like "but you can't say that about our country" you have lost the argument since every crazy dictator says that about his own troops or motives. Anyway, enjoy your education.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
